SautiSense is an assistive application being developed to improve communication and environmental awareness for deaf and hard-of-hearing users.
It can use speech recognition and sound classification to convert spoken communication and important environmental sounds into readable, visual or vibration-based alerts, for conversations, meetings, classrooms, public announcements, door knocks, alarms and vehicle horns.
The product is being developed with accessibility, privacy and user control as primary requirements, users choose which sounds to detect and how alerts are presented.
